EVENTS & FELLOWSHIP NOTICES Computer Club:
The Computer Club meets the 2nd Monday of each
month at 7 PM in Zalman Hall. All are welcome.
Bridge: The Bridge Club meets on Thursdays, at noon. All are welcome. Mah Jong:
Weekly sessions will be held every Monday at 1:00 PM
in Zalman Hall. All
are welcome. Elder’s
Breakfast:
The Elders will be hosting a breakfast on the 2nd
Sunday of each month. The
next one is schedule for March 14th. The cost is
$6 in advance or $7 at the door. All are welcome. Stone Crabs Baseball Game:
Make your reservations soon to attend the Opening
Game of the Charlotte Stone Crabs on Thursday, April 8th.
Price is $22 which includes admission, program, all you care
to eat picnic buffet, free baseball cap (different than last
year’s), fireworks, and other surprises. The menu includes
hamburgers, hot dogs, pasta salad, baked beans, potato
chips, soda, water, lemonade and tea. Reservations are going
fast so get your soon. No reservations will be taken after
March 21st. Call Ralph or Doris Hinze @ 627-3790. Lions
Club Pancake Breakfast March 7th: The
Lions Club will hold their annual pancake breakfast
(pancakes, sausage, OJ & coffee) this morning from 8:00
AM ~ 1:00 PM in the fellowship hall. Proceeds from this drive provide
the needy in our community with essential eye care. Tickets
go on sale at the door... $5.00 adults & $2.00
children 12 and under. “Our Pastors Have Talent”: On March 12th at 7 PM an inter-denominational talent show will be held at First United Methodist Church, located at 507 W. Marion Avenue, Punta Gorda. Several Pastors will come together to share their “other” talents for an evening of fun and fellowship. This event is open to the public without charge. A love offering will be received to benefit the Charlotte County Homeless Coalition Safe House Emergency Shelter. Our own Pastor Narring will be showing off his musical abilities. Come join us to cheer him on. Vintage Fashions and Tea:
You are invited to join with the Ladies of Faith Lutheran on
Friday, March 19th at 1 PM for a tea and fashion
show. Charlotte Todd’s collection of fashions of the past
century are fun and amazing, and will be worn by women of
the congregation. We will be selling tickets in the narthex
for a donation of $10 on March 6-7 and 13-14. Thrivent for
Lutherans will be supplementing proceeds, which will be
going to the Salvation Army Food Bank, in part. Come for a
relaxing, fun afternoon! Sponsored by Faith Ladies Guild. Installation/Potluck:
Installation Service for Pastor Narring is scheduled
on Sunday, March 21st at 4 PM. District President
Walton will preach. Immediately following will be a potluck
dinner in Zalman Hall. There will be a sign-up sheet in the
church narthex indicating what we’ll need. Ham will be
provided. Communion Statement The
Lord's Supper is celebrated in the confession and glad
confidence that, as He says, our Lord gives into our mouths
not only bread and wine, but His very body and blood to eat
and to drink for the forgiveness of our sins and to
strengthen our union with Him and with one another! Our
Lord invites to His table those who trust His words, repent
of all sin, and set aside any refusal to forgive and
love as He forgives and loves us.

& Soup Suppers Beginning
Ash Wednesday, February 17, we will be holding Wednesday
evening services every week during Lent at 5:30 PM.
Immediately following the service there will be a soup
supper in Zalman Hall. Please
join us. Thank

Spring Voters' Assembly Meeting will be March 21st after
church. (Our by-laws state that
it must be before Easter). We shall try to move it
along in an efficient manner unless some unforseen
topic arises. We don't want you to be late for
Brunch! A
combination of an agenda, previous minutes, board reports
and new business recom- mendations
will be packaged and placed on the "glass table"
in the Narthex on March 13 and 14th
with "one" for each family. This way you can
read it before the meeting and be prepared for business.
There will be only one plot, the adjournment!

Lutheran Church? “Associate
Members. These
are seasonal residents who are communicant members in good
standing of another Lutheran Church. Associate Members shall
have all rights and privileges of Communicant Members while in
our midst, including voting at meetings and serving on Boards
or Committees, excepting elected offices of the church. New
members shall be added upon application and acceptance by the

in the Sanctuary for Morning Devotion including scripture
readings, prayers, and a hymn! Bible Study
